Examples of recent commissioned pieces.
There is nothing quite like the thrill - or the challenge! - of plein air painting, so I am out and about as much as possible in the summer months. Living in Sussex by the sea, I am spoilt for choice when it comes to stunning landscapes. I also work from reference materials in the studio, most recently embarking on an artistic journey into outer space inspired by the astounding astrophotographs readily available on the internet.
I add finish touches to my plein air paintings in the studio. However, I am a fair-weather outdoor painter, so much of my work is produced in the studio from reference material (sketches and photos) or from my imagination: abstracts, cosmic art, Goddesses, Cave Cats, British wildlife, and so forth.

My choice of figurative subjects varies greatly: beautiful British fauna, domestic cats channelling their inner cave lions, and great protective earth mothers and goddesses; while my two environmental paintings, 'Tipping Point' and 'Choke', are an indictment of single-use plastics.
